As part of the current mandate to finalize the Paris Agreement rulebook by December 2018, countries need to finalize further guidance on nationally determined contributions (NDCs). Specifically, this guidance for NDCs refers to i) the elements, ii) creation of baselines and national emissions reduction targets, iii) scope and coverage, iv) assumptions and methodologies used to develop the NDC and national greenhouse (GHG) inventory, and v) guidance on accounting for NDCs.
